As a Commander's Program, RMS is a Powerful and Lasting Way to Recognize Each Individual Who Serves

At the conclusion of a deployment, leaders will often thank those within his or her command with such items as a flag, a coin, and possibly a medal. However, there is typically no record that helps them remember what they did or who they served with. Nothing tangible that relates their service experiences with family and friends.

Historians and Public Affairs Officers gather a great deal of information, most of which never ends up in the hands of those whose activities they have recorded. RMS is the most substantive and meaningful recognition tool available because it is not a token of gratitude, but a comprehensive service record of the Unit and the individual’s role in defending the American way of life-a record which helps them understand and share this legacy with others for generations to come.

RMS is a 21st century recognition gift of gratitude, as well as a fully integrated service record with video, photos, text, scanned documents, narration and weblinks to fully tell the story. Historians, PAOs, Servicemembers and their families all participate in this collaborative record of service that can be presented to each Servicemember at a recognition ceremony.
