Meet the Team

Sharlene Hawkes  |  President, RMS Division
In addition to being the RMS President, Sharlene is also StoryRock’s Chief Marketing Officer, a position she has held since 2005. She worked closely with the first RMS project at the 96th RRC, guiding the program’s mission and strategy through its development stages. Though relatively new to the Military market, Sharlene is no stranger to the power of Communication tools—she was one of the first women to work as a sportscaster for ESPN (1988-2004), covering such world-class events as World Cup Soccer, the French Open, World Cup Skiing, the Kentucky Derby…and Big 10 Football. She holds a Master’s Degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from the University of Utah, and how could she live in Utah without being a big fan of Utah’s famous ski country? Sharlene and her family (4 children) enjoy skiing and biking in the surrounding Wasatch Range.
Daryl Guiver  |  VP of Operations
Daryl Guiver was a management consultant for several years, working exclusively with Fortune 500 companies such as Ford Motor Company and AT&T to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Daryl transitioned to the technical industry when his company spun off a Web-based product, and later served as the Director of Product Development and Technology of two Internet companies. Daryl initially served in the same capacity at StoryRock, but after four years with the company, his management duties have evolved to include daily operations and oversight of all proprietary technology products and support systems. Daryl earned a BS and an MBA degree with an emphasis in Organization Development from Brigham Young University.
Elayne Harmer  |  Sr. Marketing Executive
Elayne Harmer has been a communications specialist since earning her degree in English from Stanford University, and a law degree in 1993 from the University of Utah. Elayne was born in Argentina and spent much of her youth living, and doing humanitarian work, in South America—naturally, she speaks fluent Spanish. She has worked in both broadcast and print journalism, and later worked for the Salt Lake City law firm of Fabian and Clendenin, specializing in employment litigation. In 1995, Elayne moved to Washington, D.C., and became legislative counsel to Senator Slade Gorton (R-WA), advising him on issues arising before the U.S. Senate Labor Committee. In her spare time, Elayne teaches piano and high school Spanish, and enjoys hiking, writing, and Argentine cooking. Elayne and her husband, David, and their four children live near San Francisco.
Adam Gray  |  Production Manager
We have been very fortunate to have Adam as a member of our team at StoryRock, and we’ve put his many talents to good use. Currently, Adam is running and maintaining the Remember My Service Social Network pages he created for the RMS program, as well as the RememberMyService.com website. Adam has grown through our company and now plays an important role as Production Manager over our Remember My Service program. Before coming to StoryRock, Adam attended Southern Utah University while working to obtain a double major in Communications and Business Management. He will continue his education at the University of Utah, where he plans on finishing his degree and earning his MBA.   Aside from enjoying his work, Adam enjoys web design as well as flying small, single engine aircraft. As a side project, Adam is the owner of an upcoming web designer networking company he created.
